Borja Mayoral looks likely to head back to Getafe from Real Madrid when Los Blancos return from their pre-season tour in America.
Mayoral was promoted to the Los Blancos first team in 2016 but has subsequently been loaned out to numerous clubs over the years, in between brief spells at Madrid.
The striker was last on loan at Getafe but was called up to Real Madrid’s pre-season training camp, where he hopes to force his way into the first team.
Football Espana reported that he was called up to bolster the side’s attacking options as Karim Benzema was given an extended summer break.

While Mayoral has hopes of securing a place in the squad for the 2022/23 season, Real Madrid are looking to cash in on the player.
After he scored six goals in 18 appearances for Getafe, the club are said to be keen on making his move permanent. Marca recently reported that Real Madrid have set the asking price at €10 million.
It's not only Getafe interested in securing his signature, though. Celta de Vigo are also monitoring the situation, and clubs in the Serie A are reportedly also keen on securing the striker’s services.
