A video showing the incredible chemistry between Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo during their Real Madrid days is taking the internet by storm.
On Monday, June 13, fans’ worst nightmare was confirmed as Marcelo’s time at Real Madrid came to an end.
The 34-year-old spent 15 years at the Santiago Bernabeu and has established himself as the most decorated player at the club.
Aside from an impressive five Champions League titles, the Brazilian also helped Real Madrid win six La Liga titles in his lucrative spell.
In an emotional farewell on Monday, Marcelo broke down in tears in the presence of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, manager Carlo Ancelotti and the legendary Raul.
Away from the occasion, one of Marcelo’s closest friends Cristiano Ronaldo also shared a powerful tribute to his former teammate.
“More than a teammate, a brother that football gave me. On and off the fields, one of the biggest stars with whom I had the pleasure of sharing a locker room.
"Go with everything on this new adventure, Marcelo!" Ronaldo wrote on Twitter.
Soon after the departure announcement, an incredible video was shared by @CristianoXtra on Twitter showing just how deep Cristiano’s bromance was with Marcelo at Real Madrid.
Notably, Ronaldo enjoyed great services from the flant at Real Madrid, thanks to the chemistry with Marcelo, who had a tendency of finding the Portuguese star in the right places.
In the video, Marcelo always seems to know Ronaldo was going to score as he celebrates moments before his friend finds the goal.

FootballDuring the farewell ceremony, Marcelo, a former Fluminense player, was quick to acknowledge his teammates and fans in general.
"Thanks to my teammates, coaches. But above all to the kit men, to the security, to the people who work behind the scenes and have dirty work," he said.
Former Real Madrid forward, Raul was spotted with tear-filled eyes after Marcelo paid tribute to the legendary forward, who the left-back revealed has been his role model at the club Daily Mail reports.
Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, who coached the Brazilian left-back to win his 5th UEFA Champions League title, was also seen crying during the press conference.
