Real Madrid are set to reward Vinicius Junior with a hefty contract after his Champions League heroics. Vinicius scored the winning goal of the final against Liverpool and club President Florentino Perez is ready to give him a bumper contract.
Vinicius' current deal is set to run until 2024 with an option of a further year, but the club wants to secure his long-term future at Santiago Bernabeu.
He joined the club in 2018 from the Brazilian side Flamengo. He has starred this season alongside Karim Benzema as the Spanish giants won the La Liga and the Champions League.
The 21-year-old scored 22 goals and provided 20 assists. His biggest goal this season came in the final when he turned in a Federico Valverde cross to win Real Madrid’s 14th Champions League title.
The Daily Mail now reports that the Los Blancos are ready with an offer worth 50 million euros. The deal will see Vinicius sign a five-year extension and will earn a fee in the region of 170,000 euros per week.
The new deal will prove how much Real Madrid values the Brazilian who, at only 21 years of age, has already lit up the grandest of football stages.
