The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) attacker is looking forward to the global tournament and has promised to score at least five goals in Qatar.
As reported by Sportskeeda, Neymar was recently asked how many goals he expected to score during the World Cup, to which he replied, 'at least 5.’
Neymar's previous World Cup goals
In 2018, Neymar only managed to score two goals as Brazil were dumped out in the tournament's quarter-final stage. He also notched up one assist.

At the 2014 World Cup, he scored four goals and grabbed one assist before he was injured in the quarter-final. A Neymar-less Brazil were then hammered 7-1 in the now infamous semi-final against Germany.
A career-threatening injury
Neymar’s injury in 2014 didn’t only ruin Brazil’s chances, it almost cost the player his career.
He was injured after Colombia’s Juan Zuniga collided with him. The Brazilian was hit with a knee to his back and had to be taken off.
Neymar explained that doctors told him if the blow was just 2cm to the side, his career would have been over, SportBible reported.
Neymar has been in fine form for PSG so far this season. He’s scored 15 goals in just 19 games and provided 12 assists, and Brazilian fans will hope he takes that form into the World Cup.
