PSG introduce more rules to tame players after alleged conflict between Kylian Mbappe, Leo Messi over Neymar
FootballKylian Mbappe, Neymar: PSG Head Coach Christophe Galtier Makes Bold Decision to Resolve Stand Off
- Kylian Mbappe has now been chosen as the first-choice penalty taker at Paris Saint-Germain, with Neymar coming in second
- This is to avoid a repeat of what happened last weekend when Mbappe attempted to take the ball away from Neymar despite missing one earlier in the game
- The other possible penalty taker, Lionel Messi, was not considered as it is understood he doesn't want to be involved in the battle between the two
The issue surrounding Kylian Mbappe and Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain can now be considered settled. Well, at least to the best of PSG's head coach Christophe Galtier's knowledge.
The two were understood to have had a long-standing misunderstanding that was brought to the public during last weekend's match against Montpellier.

Mbappe had earlier missed a penalty in the game and when the side got another penalty, he wanted to make amends. But Neymar refused to cede ground. Reports indicated that Mbappe was not happy with how the situation unfolded.
It was one of at least three incidents that rocked the French star in a bad light in that game.
Marca now reports that Galtier moved in to settle and control the issue. The report indicates that henceforth, Mbappe will be the designated penalty taker for the club, with Neymar stepping in should there be another penalty given in the same game.
This will come as a surprise, given that Neymar's penalty record is superior to Mbappe's. The latter has been guilty of missing crucial penalties. He missed the penalty that bundled France out of the Euro Championships last year in favour of Switzerland.

FootballAs this unfolds, Sports Brief had earlier reported that Paris Saint-Germain has officially moved in to find a solution to the ongoing power struggles between Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
The two high-profile players are believed to be on different pages, which was brought to the fore last weekend after the two appeared to argue for a penalty.
PSG chiefs called for a formal meeting and asked the superstars to cut it out. The bosses want issues resolved internally as they maintain a united front for the cameras.
