Neymar slammed for diving vs Gamba Osaka

PSG proved too hot to handle from the blow of the whistle, with their dominance earning them the lead via Pablo Sarabia in the 28th minute.

However, to double their lead, the French side had to rely on a theatrical move from Neymar, who appeared to dive to win a penalty.

The ex-Barca ace stepped up to convert the resulting spot-kick before he completed his brace in the 60th minute.

However, his decision to throw himself to the floor after what seemed as minimal contact did not go down well with fans who took to social media to slam the forward.

One noted:

"World-class dive from Neymar Jr."

A second posted:

"Neymar dives even in friendlies."

Another wrote:

"Neymar needs to be stopped."

A fourth quipped:

"Neymar faked a dive in a friendly against a Japanese club to get a pen. I swear this guy is shameless."
