Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Lionel Messi, has made his acting debut on an Argentine TV series.
It is understood this is the first time the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is playing an acting role in a TV show.
The Sun reports that Messi was named as a "special guest" on the show dubbed "Los Protectores" and it remains unclear how long the footie star will feature in the series.
The publication claims the show, which is in its second season will be aired in 2023.
However, fans have already been given a sneak peek into a couple of episodes, with backstage footage being shared.
In the footage, Messi appeared to be soaking up the new venture as he beamed and laughed his way through the shoot.
According to IMDb, Los Protectores is based on three football agents who are forced to come together as partners to save their ailing businesses.
Season two of the series is understood to have been shot in various locations around both Buenos Aires and Paris.
