French giants Paris Saint-Germain are said to be interested in Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho as Mauricio Pochettino could be sacked within seven days.
Despite winning Ligue 1 at the just concluded season, Pochettino’s future in Paris remains uncertain and Mourinho has been heavily linked as a possible replacement.
Daily Mail reports that the PSG hierarchy is looking to appoint a new manager who will finally win them the Champions League, and Mourinho has a rich history with the competition.
Although Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane had been the preferred choice of the PSG chiefs, Mourinho has now emerged in the picture.
It was gathered that Zidane could ultimately become France's national team coach replacing Didier Deschamps after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
And that could open the door for Mourinho at the Ligue 1 outfit after the 59-year-old finished the season helping Roma win the inaugural Europa Conference League.
Roma also finished 6th in the Serie A and now he could take charge of one of Europe’s elite teams as PSG are preparing to sack Pochettino.
