Mauricio Pochettino says he plans to continue in his position as Paris Saint-Germain next season despite speculations suggesting the Argentine could be fired.
Pochettino’s future has been under intense scrutiny after failing to guide PSG to the UEFA Champions League title as they were embarrassingly eliminated in the round-of-16 by Real Madrid.
According to a report via the BBC, the Argentine coach has now confirmed he and French striker, Kylian Mbappe will not be leaving PSG at the end of the season when questioned about his future.
"100% in both cases. That is how I feel today. That is what I can say to you today. I can't say anything else. That is how I feel right now.
"This is football and we never know what might happen. But I have to answer the question based on how I feel today. And that is what I have done."
Kylian Mbappe is yet to agree to a new deal with the newly crowned French Champions and has been tipped to move to a major European team most likely Real Madrid.
Pochettino last Sunday led Mbappe alongside his PSG teammates to the French Ligue 1 title after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Lens.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Paris Saint-Germain are set to sack Mauricio Pochettino just hours after he helped the club win the French Ligue 1 title.
The French giants were crowned league champions after their 1-1 draw with Europe-chasing, Lens, on Saturday, April 23.
Despite that feat, PSG bosses are now negotiating the terms of Pochettino's departure.
