According to Spanish news outlet Marca, Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy has reportedly told the 36-year-old defender that he is not part of the club's plans for next season.

Ramos has a cumulative 483 minutes of football action for the Parisians after making only 9 appearances for PSG in all competitions this season.

The former Real Madrid defender who has two goals for the French giants this season has a contract that is set to expire in 2023.

Ramos astronomical wage bill could hinder sale

Meanwhile, PSG could struggle to find the perfect suitor for Sergio Ramos as they try to get rid of the Spanish defender for the next season.

According to Daily Mail, Ramos wages could pose a significant stumbling block for a lot of teams, especially given the risk of his continuous injuries.

The Spanish defender is reported to earn a mouth-watering gross annual wage of €21million in the French capital.

PSG's Sergio Ramos wants five more years at the top

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Paris Saint-Germain's veteran Spanish defender Sergio Ramos would like to play four or five more years of top-level football before retiring.

The 36-year-old Ramos joined PSG in July after winning the Champions League four times with Real Madrid, the 2010 World Cup, and two European Championships with Spain.

Since his arrival in Ligue 1 he has struggled with calf problems that saw him miss the first five months of the season.
