- According to the French publication, Neymar is the highest-paid footballer in France, beating Lionel Messi with a staggering £41m-a-year salary
- Eighteen of the highest-paid players in French Ligue 1 are at Paris Saint-Germain, with only AS Monaco's Cesc Fabregas and Ben Yedder making the top 20
Brazilian superstar Neymar has been named the highest-paid footballer at Paris-Saint Germain, French newspaper L'Equipe has announced.
The 30-year-old joined the Parc de Princess side on an astronomical £198m from Barcelona in 2017, becoming the most expensive footballer in the World.
He still remains French Ligue 1's top earner, earning a monthly salary of £3.4million before tax. This equates to a yearly gross salary of just under £41m per year.
Followed on the second spot is Lionel Messi, who also joined PSG from Barcelona last year on a free transfer.
The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner, who was once the highest-paid footballer in the world, now pockets £34m yearly at the Ligue 1 leaders.
Despite being the French giants best player this season, Kylian Mbappe is third on a £22m per year salary.
Wijnaldum and Donnarumma are the lowest of the top 10 with 916,000 euros each a month and almost 11 million annually.
