FootballFormer Orlando Pirates Star Sifiso Myeni is Not in Financial Trouble Playing in Botswana's Second Division
- Very little has been heard about Sifiso Myeni in recent seasons since he departed from Bidvest Wits
- However, the former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates midfielder has resurfaced in Botswana
- The 34-year-old Myeni is playing in the second division of that country at VTM
Former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates winger Sifiso Myeni has resurfaced in the most unlikely of places.
The 34-year-old Myeni is now in the employ of VTM in Botswana's Second Division. After having departed Bidvest Wits not long ago, he barely played for TS Sporting, before disappearing from the local football scene.
Dismissing rumours, that he was in financial straits, Myeni told SowetanLIVE:
"The money was never a factor in my move to Botswana. I have been okay financially since my last contract at TS Sporting. I have always had a financial adviser since my early days as a professional footballer at Bidvest Wits. I didn't care about how much I was going to get here because I love football. I am here because I love this game.

"After leaving TS Sporting, I have never called anyone to ask for a job because I believe when people want you they must approach you and that's what VTM boss did. I am really not desperate for anything ... even here people are saying Premiership teams like Township Rollers are monitoring me and for me, I won't get obsessed about that because I am here for the love of the game and nothing else."
Myeni signed for VTM back in August as was reported by FARPost.

Video: Monnapule Saleng punishes Veli Mothwa in MTN8 final like he almost caught out Ronwen Williams
Monnapule Saleng's sensational free kick, which inspired Orlando Pirates to the win over AmaZulu in the MTN8 final, was no fluke.
In the 25th minute of the match, Saleng wickedly curled the ball in over Usuthu goalkeeper Veli Mothwa in what appeared to be a cross.
However, a viral video showed that he had attempted this earlier in the competition.
