Ghana goalkeeper, Richard Ofori, has been appointed vice captain of South African topflight side Orlando Pirates.
Richard Ofori will deputize experienced defender Innocent Maela, who has been named captain following the departure of Happy Jele.
The club confirmed the new leadership roles on their official website as the South African topflight league returns in the first week of August.
"Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm the appointment of a new Captain and Vice-Captain ahead of the start of the 2022/23 season," wrote the club on their official website.

"Long serving defender Innocent Maela will take up the Captaincy role following the departure of Happy Jele, with Goalkeeper Richard Ofori taking up the role of Vice-Captain."
Richard Ofori joined Orlando Pirates in October 2020 and has gone on to be a key figure at the club, leading the team to the finals of the CAF Confederation Cup last season.
The 28-year-old and Innocent Maela are expected to lead the club back to the top of the South African league.
Richard Ofori has enormous experience internationally and also serves as second deputy captain of the Ghana national team, having made 25 appearances for the Black Stars.
The DSTV Premier League starts in the first week of August.
