FootballOrlando Pirates Stalwart Happy Jele Said to Be on the Cards of Royal AM Amid Uncertain Buccaneers Future
- Veteran Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele could link up with CAF Confederations Cup-bound Royal AM next season
- Jele is nearing the end of a glittering career, with uncertainty about his immediate future with the Buccaneers
- He was meant to sign a one-year contract extension in June, which has reportedly not materialised
If a new report surrounding Happy Jele's immediate future is to be believed, then he will be on the books of Royal AM next season.
The 35-year-old Jele was meant to sign a contract extension until next year in June, but apparently, this is yet to happen.
Kick Off reported that a source of theirs within the club said that Royal AM had made inquiries about his services. Thwihli Thwahla is headed to the CAF Confederations Cup next season, with "Magents'" extensive experience on the African continent likely to prove invaluable to the team if he does indeed join them.

“Have you spoken to Pirates? I think they are the right people to speak to. We are waiting to hear from them. Talk to them and hear what they have to say about Happy’s situation."
Pirates' administrative officer Floyd Mbele said to the publication:
“I am not sure what is going on at the moment because I’m on leave. I am only going back to the office on Monday.”

FootballOrlando Pirates stalwart Happy Jele to slot into non-playing role after impending retirement
Stalwart Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele is being set up for a non-playing role once his glittering career comes to a conclusion in the near future.
Jele enjoys the distinction of being a one-club man, having turned out in the famous black-and-white colours since 2006, when he arrived from amateur club Walter Stars. He has already broken the legendary Nigerian goalkeeper Williams Okpara's appearances record, with well over 400 since his debut.
It was reported that the non-playing "has no date attached to it and will become available for Jele when he decides to call time on his playing career".
