A report has emerged that Orlando Pirates is considering current Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Steve Khompela as a possible future head coach.

The article continued that Komphela still has three years left on his deal with the Chloorkop-based outfit. It remains unclear whether Pirates are prepared to buy out the former Kaizer Chiefs coach at Sundowns.
Apparently, the Buccaneers want Komphela to join the technical team as they believe he has a good working relationship with Ncikazi, and the duo share a similar football philosophy.
The pair had previously worked together at both Maritzburg United and Golden Arrows and there is a possibility that the relationship could soon be rekindled in Soweto in the coming season.
Pirates are said to be planning to make a formal approach to see if the Tshwane giants would be keen to negotiate.
