Lionel Messi accused of 'disappearing' in big matches after PSG's Champions League exit
FootballVictor Osimhen: Why Napoli Striker Is the Most Dangerous Player in the Air Right Now
- Victor Osimhen is currently in a world of his own, scoring in the Serie A and in Europe
- The Nigerian is becoming the 'head-master' as he continues to score great goals in the air
- He is unarguably the most dangerous player when it comes to aerial balls right now
Napoli cruised to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, following a 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their Round of 16 tie.
Having won the first leg 2-0, the Partenopei claimed a commanding 5-0 aggregate win thanks to Victor Osimhen, who scored three goals in both legs.
However, his first goal of the second leg was a beauty with the Nigerian international leaping and suspending himself in the air before heading past goalkeeper, Kevin Trapp.
It was his 50th goal for Napoli and he headed home in spectacular fashion, looping the ball over the opposition shot-stopper.

Osimhen outjumps Ronaldo’s record
Only recently, the 24-year-old scored a sensational goal against Spezia with his head, reaching a height of 258 centimetres before nodding the ball into the far corner.
It is one of the greatest Serie A headers as that strike was better than Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous header of 256cm against Sampdoria in 2019.
Osimhen seems to be the new jump king, scoring at ease with his head. Last season, no player scored more than the Nigerian from aerial balls.
He netted eight times with his head - five more than Ronaldo had achieved.
Experts discuss Osimhen's header
Former Napoli striker, Bruno Giordano minced no words with his claim that Osimhen is stronger than Ronaldo when it comes to the header.
He told Il Mattino:
Graham Potter rates two January signings after Chelsea's win over Leicester
Football“We are talking about an incredible player [Osimhen]. He opens gaps for his teammates, walks the defences, and then scores. He does not give up and is always the protagonist.”
On Osimhen’s best attribute, Giordano added:
“The header. In this fundamental, he is even stronger than Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Ivorian legend, Didier Drogba also stated the former Lille of France striker is a complete player.
The former Chelsea striker said:
“That’s a complete striker: unselfishness... the real meaning of 'win as A TEAM'.”
Journalist delighted over Osimhen's gesture
Sports Brief previously reported on Osimhen helping Napoli fight on many fronts in the Italian Serie A and in the UEFA Champions League.
He bagged a brace last night as the Naples outfit eased past German team, Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
UEFA technical observers awarded the Nigerian powerhouse the man of the match for his performances, after scoring four goals in five games.
