Victor Osimhen is slowly but surely making his way to the Most Valuable Player of the Year Award in Serie A this season.
The Napoli striker is leading his team's charge to their first Scudetto title since 1990 with crucial goals. On Sunday, he broke Cristiano Ronaldo's record with a magnificent leap against Spezia.
The Nigerian got two goals to take his tally for the season to 16 - more than every other player. But more importantly, he recorded the highest-ever jump to be recorded in Serie A history.

His first goal came from a header when he rose higher than all other players and above Spezia's goalkeeper, Bartlomiej Dragowski's outstretched arms to nod the ball into the back of the net.

As ESPN reports, his leap was recorded at 2.58m from the ground, beating Ronaldo's leap of 2.56m he set against Sampdoria in 2019.
The Portuguese veteran's goal inspired Juventus to a 2-1 win over their opponents. Currently at Al-Nassr, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner won two Serie A titles during his time in Turin.
Osimhen meanwhile, is angling for his first Scudetto this season. Coached by Luciano Spalletti, the 24-year-old has established a wonderful relationship with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Partenopei are currently 13 points ahead of their nearest challengers, Inter Milan.

Sports Brief also reported on Manchester United reportedly being ready to break the bank in the summer, for the signing of striker, Victor Osimhen.
The Red Devils are said to be planning to table a £107-million bid to Napoli, in an attempt to convince the club to sell the Super Eagles striker.
The Old Trafford outfit have been struggling in front of the goal this season, notably since the departure of Ronaldo for the Saudi Arabian League.
