Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has been in spectacular form since moving to Italian club Napoli in the summer of 2020. He has now been hailed by ex-Lazio star Marco Ballotta.
Ballotta, a former goalkeeper, acknowledged Osimhen’s huge contribution to the Partenopei, revealing his admiration for the 23-year-old.
The former Lille of France striker completed a staggering €75 million deal to join Napoli two years ago, but he struggled in his first two seasons due to recurring injuries.
In the latter stages of last season though, the youngster picked up form and ended the campaign with 18 goals in all competitions.

The former Wolfsburg man registered 18 goals and six assists in 32 appearances for the Naples natives. While he is slower this season, he still bagged 10 goals in 14 matches before the World Cup break.
Ex-Lazio goalkeeper Ballotta says Osimhen is crucial for Napoli and could lead them to the Scudetto.
Ballotta told Napoli Magazine:
“You can feel it when Osimhen is missing. I really admire his determination, his desire to win; he never stops at nothing. I say he’s a team player, a driver. With the attitude he has, he’s good for everyone, and he is a great finisher.”
The Italian Serie A resumes on January, 4 and Napoli’s next game will be a cracker against Inter Milan.

FootballSports Brief earlier reported on Osimhen searching for a new trainer, as he hopes to improve his performance when club football returns.
The forward has been out of action due to the World Cup break, as the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the global showpiece.
He is currently with the Serie A side at their training camp in Turkey, where they are set to play Antalyaspor and Crystal Palace in friendly matches.
