AS Roma Striker, Tammy Abraham, met with Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen, as they hosted Napoli in the Serie A on Sunday night.

Osimhen grabbed the game's only goal in the 80th minute, and Abraham admitted that the home team were sad following the loss.

Former Lille of France striker Osimhen scored his third goal in three straight games to have the Partenopei claim three precious points in a fiercely contested battle.

Abraham and Osimhen were pictured together as they interacted, as popular Nigerian sports journalist Oma Akatugba was also at the arena.

The journalist quoted Abraham as saying to Osimhen, as per Within Nigeria:

“You made the whole locker room sad with your goal.”

Abraham has a Nigerian father and an English mother.

Why Tammy Abraham ignored Nigeria

Meanwhile, Abraham once admitted that he turned down Nigeria in order to pursue an international career with England.

The English-born of Nigerian descent was vital for Jose Mourinho's side, Roma, throughout the Europa Conference League, becoming the club's top scorer with nine goals.

He has established himself as the livewire for the Giallorossi, becoming the highest-scoring Englishman across Europe’s big leagues this season.

Osimhen nominated for the Power Horse Emerging Player of the Year Award

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has been nominated in a category at the forthcoming Globe Soccer Awards.

The 13th edition of the ceremony will be held on November 17 at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, with the World Cup kicking off three days later.

Osimhen is up against Rafael Leao of AC Milan, Federico Valverde of Real Madrid and Gavi from Barcelona as they go head-to-head for the Power Horse Emerging Player of the Year Award.
