According to Sportbible, the former Sweden international had a bright start to life on his return to the Serie A as he helped AC Milan to lift the Serie A title last season.

Zlatan set for retirement

The current campaign has been perhaps the most difficult in his career, having missed the first half of the season through injury.

The former Man United attacker underwent surgery on a serious knee injury last summer, leaving him sidelined for the better part of the season.

While he is projected to return to action in mid-February, reports indicate there is every chance he could call time on his career.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Ibrahimovic could potentially make the decision to call it time on his career at the end of the season.

The Italian newspaper further claimed that Milan is prepared to offer him an ambassadorial role at the club once he retires.

Ibrahimovic slams Ronaldo, ten Hag

Sports Brief earlier reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has now come out to admonish both Cristiano Ronaldo and Erik ten Hag after their bitter fallout last month.

Ronaldo and ten Hag were on different pages since the latter's appointment. Their differences culminated in the veteran striker undertaking an explosive interview with Piers Morgan to give his side of the story.

Among other things, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner claimed he did not respect the former Ajax manager.
