AC Milan are having second thoughts over a proposed move for Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech, who they have been chasing since the summer but the move failed to materialise.
Milan rekindled interest in the pacy winger ahead of a January move but are now reconsidering their options over Ziyech wage demands which Milan are either unwilling to meet or not financially capable to meet.
Ziyech has delivered subpar performances and numbers for Chelsea since he moved to London from Ajax in 2020 and with his relationship with the club already broken down, he will be set to move in January.
The Moroccan's main suitor AC Milan had a deal fail in the summer after Chelsea rejected a loan move and wanted an outright buy. He has been a part time member of the squad this season.

AC Milan reconsidering Ziyech deal
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sports Mole, AC Milan are considering walking out of talks with both Chelsea and Ziyech after a dispute with the winger's wage demands.
Milan are preparing for an initial loan move with option to buy for €15m but Ziyech is after a yearly salary of €8m, a figure the Rossoneri are unwilling to pay to a soon to be 30 year old player.
This could prove a stumbling block to the deal and Chelsea could be forced to keep Ziyech until summer if no new offers are received, even though the player and club want to part ways.

FootballZiyech: a different player
Sports Brief earlier reported that Morocco head coach Walid Regragui said Ziyech is different when treated with love and respect, and is a player who can go to war for his manager.
The 29 year old returned to Morocco squad for the World Cup having been dropped for the AFCON and initially retired internationally.
He is one of Morocco s best player at the World Cup in Qatar but his return of 14 goals and 10 assists in 92 games for Chelsea is one not resembling that of a player of his calibre.
