FootballCristiano Ronaldo Debate Rages on: Star Tops Scoring List for Juventus and Manchester United
- Cristiano Ronaldo set the record for most goals scored at both Manchester United and Juventus during the year
- Ronaldo scored 20 goals for Juventus this year, a record which hasn't been matched even though he left in May
- The debate over whether Ronaldo is the best of all time continues with fans divided over their opinions
Is Cristiano Ronaldo the greatest footballer of all time? That's a debate that will rage on for years to come but Ronaldo is certainly giving his doubters something to think about.
Ronaldo will end the 2021 footballing year having set another record, one many would have thought impossible.
As reported by Goal.com, Ronaldo will finish 2021 as the leading goal scorer for Juventus and Manchester United during this year. Ronaldo scored 20 goals for Juventus this year, despite leaving the club in May, Manchester Evening News reports.
No one at the Turin based club has managed to match that since. Ronaldo also tops United's goal-scoring list for the year with 14 goals.
Despite the new record, fans are still divided about whether he is the greatest of all time. Some argue that the new record is something that even Lionel Messi couldn't do while others claim Ronaldo only scores penalties and tap in goals.

Goal-Machine Lewandowski Equals Super Striker C. Ronaldo Staggering Record
FootballPortuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo found the back of the net in Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Burnley in the Premier League on Thursday night, Complete Sports reports. The 36-year-old tapped into the net for the Red Devils’ third goal of the encounter, Sports Brief reported.
His penalty against Norwich earlier in December saw him on the same level with legendary Tommy Taylor who netted 131 goals for the Old Trafford outfit before he retired. Ronaldo moves ahead of Taylor, whose haul would, of course, have been even greater had he not lost his life in the 1958 Munich Air Disaster.
Ronaldo who returned to Manchester United this during the summer has since overtaken Andy Cole, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Brian McClair and now Taylor in our all-time scorers list.
