Manchester United ace, Marcus Rashford has taken to social media to shut down rumours that he is looking to become the club’s highest earner.
The Red Devils are still in talks with Rashford and goalkeeper, David De Gea as the club looks to tie down the pair with new deals.
United have reportedly already triggered the option to extend Rashford’s contract, which will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2024.
Regardless, the club is still keen on ensuring Rashford is part of the team for the long-term and a new lengthy deal is on the cards, according to Manchester Evening News.

Rashford rubbishes United rumours
As talks between the star and his club continue, the forward took to social media to trash claims that he wants to be the club’s biggest earner with a £500,000-a-week deal.
In response to a tweet that has since been deleted, Rashford said:
“Just before this one starts to do the rounds! It's complete nonsense. The club and myself have been respectful to one another, and that's how it will remain. My focus is purely on finishing as well as possible in the league and winning trophies.”
Meanwhile, talks are said to be progressing despite the delicate situation at United, who are at a delicate stage of a looming takeover.
