The squad quickly embarked on getting answers as to what went wrong in Merseyside as the stars were seen reporting for training on Monday morning. Casemiro and Diogo Dalot were among the player photographers driving into the Carrington training ground.
The Mirror reports that the players arrived at 9 am, with ten Hag having arrived two hours earlier. The report further states that a source close to the club said:
"Ten Hag was obviously furious and told them they were lucky to be getting on the team bus back to Old Trafford and not made to travel back with the fans."
United will have a chance to make amends on Thursday when they play Real Betis in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16.
