Marcus Rashford hit form at the right time for Manchester United to move them up into the Premier League top three with one leg in the title race alongside city neighbours Manchester City and rivals Arsenal.

He has scored 12 league goals this season and has only drawn a blank once since football resumed in England after the World Cup, scoring in every match, including the 2-0 win over Leeds United at the weekend.

The 26-year-old may not be missing it on the pitch, but he certainly missed it elsewhere, having his car's number plate mixed up from his supplier, as reported by Sun UK.

The United academy graduate drives a McLaren 765 LT, but his number plate was registered to a Skoda Citigo, unknown to the player, as revealed by DVLA checks via Mirror UK.

The mix-up was reported to have come from the car supplier who gave Rashford the number plate of a car whose value is about 23 times less than his luxury car.

Rashford sets up security firm

Rashford has a reputation off the field for being a social intervener who has stepped in on many issues, such that fans once chanted at him to focus on football.

Sports Brief also reported that Rashford's teammate, Diogo Dalot drives a Ferrari FF to Manchester United training ahead of his new bumper contract at the club.

The car is worth £250,000, ten times Dalot's current salary of £25,000 at Manchester United. He will reportedly earn around £100,000 when he signs a new contract.
