Brazilian football star Neymar Jr has hailed his fellow countryman Casemiro as the world's best midfielder 'for a long time.'
Neymar made the claim after Casemiro's vital role in Brazil's World Cup win over Switzerland on Monday, November 28.
The Manchester United midfielder was the man of the moment as the Samba Boys silenced a stubborn Switzerland side 1-0 at the Stadium 974.
Having won their opening match against Serbia, the South American football powerhouse needed a win against Granit Xhaka's Switzerland to book an early spot in the round of 16 of the World Cup.

However, they had to labour through the Group H clash, with Switzerland proving to be a hard nut to crack.
Brazil had to wait until the 83rd minute to finally break the deadlock, with Casemiro doing just enough to power his side to victory with a stunner.
The former Real Madrid anchorman's beautiful goal earned him praise from fans, with Neymar, who missed the tie through injury leading the tributes.
The Paris Saint-Germain star tweeted:
"Casemiro has been the best midfielder in the world for a long time."
Meanwhile, Brazil is scheduled to play Cameroon in their final round of group fixtures on Friday, December 2.
