Shaw and Maguire provided assists for England's first and second goals in their opening match in the tournament.

Heading into the World Cup, there were serious doubts over Maguire. His club manager Erik ten Hag doesn't seem to fancy him for a starting spot, but England boss Gareth Southgate said he is their best defender.

Football fans worldwide were shocked at Maguire's impressive showing in the first half versus Iran. He provided the assist for England second goal which Bukayo Saka stunningly scored.

Shaw provided an inch-perfect cross for Jude Bellingham to open the scoring, and fans went crazy.

Many fans believe Maguire only does well for England but plays poorly while at United.
