  • Manchester United have received a huge injury boost as three players have returned to training.
  • The Red Devils face Sherrif Tiraspol in their next match on Thursday, October 27
  • Harry Maguire is among those who have overcome injury and is back in full training
  • Cristiano Ronaldo also trained with the squad on Tuesday after showdown talks with Erik Ten Hag

At least three Manchester United players are back in training in what is a major boost for Erik Ten Hag and his squad.

Right-back Aaron Wan Bissaka, centre-back Harry Maguire and Donny Van de Beek in midfield have all resumed training and are in contention to feature in the next game.

United welcome Sheriff Tiraspol in a Europa League clash on Thursday as they look to secure a ticket to the knockout stages of the competition.

The return of Wan Bissaka and Maguire will be a welcome sight for United fans, who lost Raphael Varane to injury in the game against Chelsea on Sunday.

According to Manchester Evening news, however, Varane’s injury is not as bad as initially feared, and he could be back sooner than expected.

Wan-Bissaka was initially put up for sale in the summer transfer window but ended up staying at Old Trafford.

His return will likely ease some workload off Diogo Dalot, who has been crucial for Erik Ten Hag in recent weeks.

United’s £80million captain Maguire is also likely to fill in where Varane is missing in the upcoming games after overcoming an injury he picked up whilst on international duty.

For Van de Beek, he has been promised more minutes by Ten Hag after playing just 19 minutes of the campaign so far, but he has to prove his fitness to the gaffer first.

Cristiano returns to training with first team

Meanwhile, Sports Brief also reported that embattled Cristiano Ronaldo was back in training with the team on Tuesday.

Ronaldo made his way back to first team training after showdown talks with Ten Hag, and the Portuguese international is a strong contender to feature in the Thursday game.

He already has one goal in the Europa League which came from the penalty spot.
