Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly offered an exit route out of Manchester United by Turkish giants
Football
Patrice Evra has theorized that Cristiano Ronaldo could have been going through something unrelated to Manchester United’s emphatic win over Tottenham, hence his antics on Wednesday, October 19.
Ronaldo was dropped off the starting XI by Ten Hag, who preferred Marcus Rashford up front for the clash.
The Red Devils dominated their rivals on the night, and eventually made their superiority count thanks to second-half goals by Fred and Bruno Fernandes.
But the win was partly eclipsed by Ronaldo’s antics, as the United forward was seen making his way down the tunnel with four minutes to go.

As reported by Express Sport, Evra and Thierry Henry, who were on punditry duty on Wednesday, refused to read too much into the situation.
In fact, Evra seemed to subtly come to the defence of Ronaldo, suggesting the forward might have departed before full-time for completely different reasons.
"I think everyone is different, I want to stay on the performance, it's not to protect Cristiano or whatever. We don't know if he even said to Ten Hag, I'm going in and we're going to make a story just showing him walking,” he said as quoted on Metro.
"Maybe he said to Ten Hag I'm going inside to do some treatment so I don't want to find any excuse but I want to be focused more on the performance of Man Utd, we need to stop talking every day about Cristiano."

FootballSports Brief also reported on the bizarre moment Evra decided to eat grass off the Old Trafford turf on Wednesday.
The former Man United defender gave his fellow pundits a good laugh after he took a chunk of grass out of the pitch and ate it.
He went on to hilariously declare that it was his personal ritual whenever he visits Old Trafford.
