Ratcliffe intends to bring Luis Campos to Old Trafford
The 69-year-old is plotting on hiring transfer 'genius' Luis Campos, a football figure who has unearthed some of the current stars in European football, according to the Daily Mail.
Campos is the most sought-after high-profile football director, having worked with the likes of Real Madrid, Monaco, Lille and PSG.
The 58-year-old, currently at PSG, would work in a similar role to the one he has at PSG as a performance and recruitment advisor. Recruitment at Old Trafford since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement has been underwhelming and Ratcliffe, together with Campos, will want to correct that.
Ratcliffe made his intention to buy Manchester United last month through his spokesperson.
If the club is for sale, Jim is definitely a potential buyer.
If something like this was possible, we would be interested in talking with a view to long-term ownership.
Jim is looking at what can be done now and, knowing how important the club is to the city, it feels like the time is right for a reset."
