Britain's richest man Sir Jim Ratcliffe has confirmed his interest in buying Premier League side Manchester United.
Current owners, The Glazer Family, who have owned the club since 2005, have been facing opposition from United fans who want them out.
According to 90min, fans have protested against The Glazers on several occasions before, most prominently in 2005 as the takeover was being sealed.
The most recent protest came in 2021 as a response to the failed Super League breakaway.

It is understood that another anti-Glazer protest is planned ahead of United's clash against Liverpool.
The development is in the wake of the Red Devils' disappointing start to the new season that has them sitting bottom of the log after losing two of their opening matches.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe interested in buying Manchester United
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, an ardent Man United fan has now declared his interest in buying the Premier League club.
According to Metro UK, Ratcliffe is keen on buying a stake in United with a view to taking full control of the club.
The same has since been confirmed by his spokesperson, who told The Times:

"If something like this was possible, we would be interested in talking with a view to long-term ownership," the spokesman added.
Elon Musk jokes about buying Man United
Earlier, Sports Brief reported business mogul Elon Musk has excited Manchester United fans that he might buy the club as the fans continue to put pressure on the current owners.
Musk, known for his jokes on Twitter, quickly clarified he was joking and that he had no interest in buying a sports team
He then changed tune again, saying that if he were to buy a club in future, it would be the Red Devils, indicating that he has always been a fan since his childhood
