Nemanja Matic has announced that he will be leaving Premier League giants Manchester United at the end of the ongoing season despite having a year left on his contract at Old Trafford.
It was in 2020 that Nemanja Matic signed new deal at Manchester United under former manager Ole Solskjaer, but he has now decided to quit the Red Devils.
According to the report on UK Sun, the Serbian professional footballer explained that it was a difficult decision for him to announce that he is leaving Manchester United.

"After a great deal of thought, I have decided that this season will be my last with Manchester United.
"I have informed the board, the manager and the players of my decision. It has been a huge honour and a privilege to play for this great club.
"A big thank you to the fans for their unwavering support.
"I will now give everything until the end of the season to help my teammates finish as strongly as possible."
