FootballTension at Old Trafford As Two Premier League Clubs Consider Bids for Impressive Man Utd Midfielder
- Paul Pogba could be leaving Manchester United when his contract expires at the end of the ongoing campaign
- The Frenchman is yet to agree to a new deal with the Red Devils and he will be able to leave for free when the summer transfer window opens
- English clubs Newcastle United and Aston Villa are now said to be interested in the 29-year-old midfielder
English Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Aston Villa are said to be interested in Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, SPORTbible reports.
The Frenchman will be available for free this summer as his contract with the Red Devils expires at the current campaign, although there is no confirmation he will leave the Old Trafford outfit.
Pogba arrived at Manchester United in 2016 and his time at the club has been full of ups and downs as his future remains unclear.
Moreso, the Red Devils have not been impressive in recent years which could force the former Juventus star away from the club as he searches for silverware elsewhere.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a number of top clubs in Europe, but on Wednesday, a report claims two unnamed Premier League clubs are considering a move for him.
SunSport now says that Newcastle United and Aston Villa are both eyeing up moves for the midfielder, although no formal offers have been made.
It will likely come as a little surprise to anyone that Newcastle is one of the two clubs from England interested in signing Pogba.
They were taken over by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund last year and spent £90 million to save them from relegation.
Aston Villa's interest in the World Cup-winning United midfielder would certainly be more of a surprise but would be a huge signal of intent from Steven Gerrard's team.
