  • Jason Cundy believes relegation strugglers Newcastle United will clinch a Premier League title before Manchester United
  • The Magpies' Saudi-backed takeover means they're on the cusp of becoming one of football's biggest financial attractions if they avoid getting relegated from the Premier League
  • Manchester United's most recent Premier League title came in the 2012-13 season, which was Ferguson's final season of management before his retirement

Football pundit, Jason Cundy has predicted Newcastle United under the new ownership of the Saudi Public Investment Fund stands a good chance of winning the Premier League title before Manchester United.

The four-time English champions have failed to win a league title since the emergence of the Premier League in 1992.

Manchester United have themselves failed to win the league title since Sir Alex Ferguson last won the EPL before retiring in 2013.

According to Sports Bible, Jason Cundy however believes Newcastle United having the backing of their new owners will tow the part of Chelsea and Manchester City.

"I think I would. Look at what Manchester City has done with their millions and how they've spent, look at what Chelsea has done with their millions and how they've spent.
"Both of those clubs aren't in it to make money. Chelsea and Man City's model isn't worrying about money it's about glory. It's not about the pound notes. Manchester United, right now, their priorities right now aren't necessarily about the trophies."

Manchester United continue to struggle under Ragnick

According to NBC Sports, Manchester United are creating chances but aren’t finishing them and although they have lost just once in 12 PL games since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was fired in November.

The Red Devils currently lie in 5th position on the league standings but Ragnick has stated the Club’s only possible achievement for this season will be to finish amongst the top four teams in the league.
