- United are believed to be keeping tabs on Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak who they want as a replacement for Ronaldo
- However, the Red Devils look set to face stiff competition in their pursuit for the 22-year-old with both Chelsea and Arsenal interested
Man United are reportedly keen on making a summer move for Real Sociedad attacker Alexander Isak with the view of having him replace Cristiano Ronaldo.
United are expected to spend massively at the end of the ongoing season once a permanent manager to replace Ralf Rangnick is named.
Mirror UK now reports the Red Devils have already set their sights on landing Isak from Sociedad.
Alexander Isak is a top target for Premier League clubs
United are sure to face stiff competition from Premier League rivals in their pursuit for Isak, with Chelsea and Arsenal also interested.
Metro UK reports the 22-year-old was linked with a move to Arsenal on transfer deadline day after he was spotted in London but the deal was not announced.
The Blues are also believed to be keeping tabs on the youngster, with Sociedad said to know they face a serious battle to keep hold of him.
How much is Isak worth?
Having already scored eight goals in all competitions so far, Isak is expected not to come cheap for interested clubs.
It is understood the striker has a £75million buyout clause in his deal at Sociedad.
The Red Devils could reportedly be tempted to fork out the amount as they see Isak as a potential replacement for Ronaldo should the Portuguese depart in the summer.
That notwithstanding, United will still be desperate to sign a prolific striker with Anthony Martial facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford and Edinson Cavani all but set to leave in the summer.
