- The youngster has found game time hard to come by for the senior team
- He becomes the second United star to depart Old Trafford this January after Martial
Man United youngster Amad Diallo is on the verge of leaving Old Trafford ahead of a proposed loan switch to Rangers.
The teenage sensation signed for United earlier in 2021 from Atalanta in a deal worth more than £37million.
However, competition upfront in United's senior team has seen the 19-year-old limited to just nine appearances across competitions this term.
He was previously billed to join Feyenoord on loan back in September 2021 but an injury suffered in training saw the deal fall through.
Wayne Rooney's Derby County are also understood to have inquired about his availability, but the club's financial woes made any deal difficult.
Daily Mail reports the Red Devils were keen to have him remain in the UK rather than go abroad, making his imminent move to Rangers ideal.
According to the publication, the Ivory Coast international is already having his medical at the Scottish club ahead of a six-month loan deal.
Diallo's contract at United will be running until 2025 and the club's hope a stint out on loan will help develop him into a regular squad player.
The winger now becomes the second high-profile player to leave Old Trafford this January after the departure of Anthony Martial.
Martial left the Manchester-based club earlier in the week to seal a stunning loan switch to Sevilla.
The Frenchman's exit came amid poor form and lack of game time at United.
He will now be hoping to rediscover his form with the La Liga giants during the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign.
