FootballMan United Told 5 Players They Must Sell Because They Are Not Good Enough for The Club
- Man United spent big last summer to bring in the likes of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Ronaldo
- However, the signings have made little impact on the team, with the club currently struggling to post good results
- Craig Burley contends United chiefs should make a point and get rid of some of their flops who he believes are not good enough
Former Chelsea and Celtic midfielder Craig Burley has advised Man United to get rid of five first-team players as they are not good enough.
The Red Devils have endured a poor run of form this season, with interim boss Ralf Rangnick also struggling to steady the ship at Old Trafford.
United currently sit seventh on the Premier League standings and are in danger of missing out on a top-four place at the end of the campaign.
The club spent big last summer to bring in quality players to help them challenge for titles.
However, despite the financial outlay, the club has failed to live up to its billing in a dire situation that culminated in the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager.
Burley has now urged Rangnick to relook at the team and get rid of deadwood players who are not good enough for the Manchester club.
According to the former midfielder, the quintent of Victor Lindelof, Fred, Nemanja Matic, Alex Telles, and Diogo Dalot has to be moved on.
"If I go through this United squad, team. [David] De Gea's back to some excellent form. [Raphael] Varane, quality player," Burley told ESPN.
"Dalot, out. Lindelof, not good enough for Man United. Telles, not good enough for Man United. Luke Shaw, good player when he wants to be. Fred, Matic no," he added.
