Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has finally revealed the reason why he clashed with some of his teammates at the Old Trafford club.
The Red Devils were considered as one of the title favorites before the start of the season after capturing the services of Ronaldo from Juventus last summer but all that dreams and aspirations have quickly been extinguished after an inconsistent season.
The Red Devils currently lie 7th on the Premier League table and have been struggling both on the pitch and off it as they try to seal a Champions League spot for next season.
The Portuguese captain has however revealed in an interview as captured by The Mirror that one of the biggest problems he, Rangnick, and the other experienced players in the dressing room are facing is the fact that the youngsters apparently refuse to take their advice and this has become a huge challenge for the club.
"The mature players, the older players, can always help the younger players,"
"I can remember when I was 18, 19, 20, some older players spoke to me but I put that as 'Cristiano, you have to improve, they know more than you, they are more experienced than you, they passed through many bad moments'.
"But the other people do not accept that if you criticise them - I don't say this generation of our players but in general, I have kids, I know. Sometimes if you be a little bit harder they do the opposite. You have to find the right balance to speak with them.
