Manchester United midfielder Fred has come out strongly to refute claims that he is among the players who aim to leave the Old Trafford club.
The Brazilian was named among a group of players in a daming report that claimed more than 10 players had become disillusioned at Manchester United and were ready to exit.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, February 7, Fred said:

“Over the past few days I have read several fake news involving my name and other MUFC athletes. I'm not in the habit of answering controversial stuff publicly, but this time I will have to.
“I just want to say that I am very happy here and I have never expressed any dissatisfaction and the possibility of leaving the club. Don't get misled by fake news. We will continue to work with great dedication to pursue our goals.”
Fred has been out of Manchester United’s starting XI in the club’s last two games, and was a substitute in the narrow win over Burnley.
He was named in the report alongside the likes of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani and Donny Van de Beek as players who were discontent with the club and manager Ralf Rangnick’s tactics.
Rangnick speaks on Man United’s current situation
Speaking on Friday ahead of United’s FA Cup tie against Aston Villa, Ralf Rangnick attempted to make sense out of the whole situation amid claims of a revolt.
"I mean yes, we have made some progress but obviously versus Wolves (a 1-0 defeat) was a step back, a relapse to habits we have shown in the past," the interim boss said.

The Pogba situation
