Manchester City star Erling Haaland still has a long way to go to be considered one of the greatest ever marksmen in football, stats have shown.
By now, there is no doubt the 22-year-old is one of the most dangerous strikers in world football at the moment.
He has taken the Premier League by storm, notching 15 Premier League goals, setting himself up to win the Golden Boot in his debut season in English football.

Ronaldo recently hit 700 club career goals thanks to his strike as United sank Everton 2-1 on Sunday, October 9. In terms of active football stars, no player other than the 37-year-old has hit those numbers.
Based on Haaland’s performances, a conversation has emerged on whether he can be able to surpass Ronaldo’s tally if he keeps up his current form.
According to Transfermarkt, Haaland is currently on 155 club career goals including 86 for Borussia Dortmund, 20 for Molde FK, 29 for Red Bull Salzburg and 20 for Manchester City.
These are impressive numbers by themselves but leave Haaland with 545 goals to make up for - to join the 700 career goals club.
Assuming Haaland will play late into his 30s like Cristiano, say until 37, he has 15 seasons to score 545 goals.

FootballWith this in mind, the machine of a striker will have to score 36 club goals each season for 15 years straight, which is astronomical, even for Haaland.
Of course, there are other factors that come into play like injuries, game time and overall form and with all this into consideration, it shows Haaland still has a long way to go.
