- Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is wary of Liverpool ahead of their clash next Sunday
- Despite being on a terrible run of form, Guardiola thinks the trip to Liverpool will be the toughest yet
- City have won seven of their nine league matches this season, while Liverpool have won just two so far
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has given his thoughts on Liverpool ahead of their game next Sunday.
After comfortably dispatching Southampton on Saturday afternoon, Guardiola is already looking ahead to their next match at Anfield next weekend.
Man City started the season excellently, winning seven of their first nine games. They're also the only unbeaten team in the Premier League, but Arsenal's brilliant start means Guardiola's men will have to contend with being number two in the table.
Backed by goalscoring magician Erling Haaland, City have been tipped to win the league this season, which will be the first time they win three in a row.

Pep wary of Liverpool threat
That result on Sunday means defeat against Man City could be an ominous sign for Klopp's charges, who are on a steep decline following a terrific 2021/22 season, according to Sky Sports.
According to the Mirror, Guardiola has said that under no circumstances should anyone underestimate the Reds. City play FC Copenhagen on Tuesday and a win will see them through to the last 16 with two games to spare.
"After that, we have four days to prepare for Anfield, and it won’t be any surprise to tell you how fascinating, difficult and competitive that will be. The biggest test, I would say, we can face in England is going to happen next Sunday.”

FootballThe match between the two sides has been a highly anticipated affair in world football over the last few seasons, but City are favourites in the clash. Liverpool's mediocre form means the visitors could take full advantage.
Pep 'upset' with Haaland
Sports Brief earlier reported on Guardiola being 'upset' with Haaland after he failed to score three goals versus Southampton.
Pep was hoping the Norwegian striker would continue with his streak of scoring hat-tricks at home.
Still, Haaland's goal on Saturday meant he's already on 15 league goals and 20 in all competitions.
