Beyond his football talent, Manchester City star Manuel Akanji seems to have other unique skills beyond football.

Akanji joined the English champions on transfer deadline day for £15million, penning a five-year bumper contract City.

The talented centre-back has not wasted time showing his defensive capabilities in the heart of the Man City backline.

Akanji has played a key role in helping Man City claim four wins from four since his first inclusion in the team.

However, it seems that the 27-year-old would be an arithmetic expert should he not have been a footballer.

Recently, he had a sit down down with Sky Sports News reporter Ben Ransom where he showcased his mathematical prowess.

From the now-viral interview, Akanji gives answers to arithmetic questions almost instantly.

"City have won 23 major trophies, you've won 41 caps for Switzerland. 23 x 42?" asked Ransom.

Akanji instantly provided the correct answer: "966."

Ransom went on to ask: "How about this one then? 93 x 60?" Akanji answered: "5580."

Akanji's incredible prowess in maths sent fans into a meltdown, with one commenting:

"Super brilliant."

A second added:

"Wow. Mind boggling."

Another joked:

"He can calculate Ronaldo’s goals this season easily."

While a fourth noted:

"Haaland may need him to count his goals."

Man City star 'endorses' petition calling for Haaland's banning

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Man City defender Aymeric Laporte has joined a number of fans calling for banning Erling Haaland from football.

A fake petition of fans allegedly requesting that Haaland is removed from the Premier League has been doing the rounds on social media.

The 22-year-old has had a bright start to life since joining City in the summer from Borussia Dortmund.
