Only weeks ago, Aguero spoke on Haaland where he heaped praise on the Norwegian for his goal contributions for Manchester City early on in the season.
At the time, Aguero tipped Manchester City to break their Champions League jinx thanks to goals from the former Borussia Dortmund man.
How the game went
Haaland continued his rampant start to the season as he made it 17 goals in 10 games for his new club, and a third Premier League hat trick after only three months in the league.
Despite the nature of the game being a derby, it was Manchester City who were by far the superior side as they dominated from early on, while United played with too much caution and at times fear.
The visitors were eventually punished for their tame approach as Phil Foden swept Bernardo Silva’s cross before Haaland scored from a corner eight minutes later.

FootballThe Norwegian slid in a third from De Bruyne’s exquisite pass before turning provider to set up Foden who took the game away from United long before the final whistle.
The Red Devils had a muffled reply, which came in sublime fashion as summer signing Anthony curled in a beauty, but that goal only seemed to provoke City to up their tempo once again.
Soon after, Haaland completed his hat trick as he smashed home from a Sergio Gomez cross before setting up Foden again for The Citizen’s sixth.
Substitute Anthony Martial scored two late goals, but they proved to only be consolations for United and perhaps restore some pride in the derby.
