Manchester City fans were sent into panic mode, albeit momentarily, when Washington Post tweeted about an apparent serious injury to Haaland.

The fans rushed to the official handles of the club to confirm how long their star signing would be out. But they heaved a sigh of relief when they realised the Haaland in Washington Post's tweet wasn't their Erling Haaland but Debra Haaland, the United States Interior Secretary.

The initial tweet by Washington Post did not capture the Interior Secretary's first name in the tweet.

It is unclear the severity of Haaland’s injury, where the break occurred on the fibula, or how long it may take to heal.

His man city career is over before it's even started thanks for Gabriel Jesus, though.
