Premier League champions, Manchester City are the bookmakers’ favourites to win the UEFA Champions League for the 2022/23 football season.

Pep Guardiola’s team has invested heavily in their team with the inclusion of Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips to their squad as they try to win the competition for the first time in their history.

According to Football Talk, Manchester City has been given 11/4 odds by bookmakers to win the Champions League, which is ahead of other top European teams such as Real Madrid and PSG.

The Citizens narrowly missed out on last season’s final after they were edged out by eventual winners, Real Madrid after extra-time in the sem-finals.

Meanwhile, Nathan Ake looks set to leave Premier League champions Manchester City as the Dutch defender is set to return to his former club Chelsea.

The 27-year-old has been in talks with the Blues but Manchester City has now revealed they are yet to receive an official bid from Chelsea for the defender Sport Bible reports.

Ake is believed to have agreed on personal terms with the Blues who are in search of defensive reinforcements following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported English Premier League club, Brighton has confirmed they are yet to receive any bid for the defender, Marc Cucurella despite the resounding interest from Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola has identified the Spanish left-back as one of his key transfer targets this summer as the Citizens have Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips to their squad already.

Guardiola has urged the Premier League champions to make a £50m move for Cucurella but all those speculations has now been squashed by Brighton’s owner, Tony Bloom.
