Hunt took to Twitter to confirm that he was indeed going to England.

As reported by Goal.com, Hunt is excited by the trip and looks forward to meeting Pep Guardiola.

"I am going to be around the fitness and training team. But obviously, the most important meeting will be with Pep [Guardiola] himself.
"They are busy, but I will be with the first team and going to their training session in the two days, I have seen in the itinerary that they’ve given me a slot there and there is time,"

Hunt is eager to experience the professionalism and see how things are run at the club compared to how clubs are run in South Africa.

“ We can’t compare the facilities and things like that, but we can compare the training sessions and methodology."

The trip was initially scheduled to take place just after the African Cup of Nations, but finally, Hunt is living his dream.

With the newfound experience and knowledge he receives during the trip, Hunt will be hoping to put to good use with a new club.

He has been without a coaching role since he was let go by Chippa United at the end of 2021.

Gavin Hunt is still without a club to coach, despite achieving so much in his 30 years of coaching. Hunt has been without a club since his last stint with Chippa United last season, Sports Brief earlier reported.

There have been rumours that Gavin Hunt could end up at Orlando Pirates, should Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids be let go from their duties at the Buccaneers.

Hunt recently shared a light-hearted moment with Pitso Mosimane. The Al Ahly manager teased that Gavin Hunt should come to try his hand in the Egyptian Premier League, The South African reported.
