- Goals from Gaston Sirino, a double from Peter Shalulile and Abubeker Nassir were more than enough to bury the overwhelmed visitors
Normal service has resumed in the DStv Premiership.
Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns subjected Kaizer Chiefs to a humiliating 4-0 defeat at Loftus Versfeld in Tshwane on Saturday afternoon.
Gaston Sirino opened the scoring for the hosts in the sixth minute following a mix-up between Siyabonga Ngezana and goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma in the Chiefs box.
Ngezana was culpable once again in Masandawana's second goal, bringing down Peter Shalulile in the 16th minute for a needless penalty, though Zitha Kwinika was mistakenly shown a yellow card for the foul by referee Victor Gomes. The Namibian dusted himself to double the lead from the spot.

The highly-rated Abubeker Nessir introduced himself to South African football rather frighteningly with a sensational goal in the 76th minute to complete the embarrassing rout.

FootballAs reported by Sports Brief, club chairman Thlopie Motsepe unveiled Bongani Zungu as the club's latest signing at Loftus Versfeld before the DStv Premiership encounter between Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs. Zungu had been linked with a move back to South Africa after his contract with Amiens had come to an end.
There were reports that Chiefs had made an even bigger offer to Zungu than Masandawana’s initial offer, but coach Arthur Zwane had dismissed those claims.
