Mamelodi Sundowns are flying high after beating TS Galaxy 3-0.

Stunning strikes from Khuliso Mudau and Haashim Domingo and a Peter Shalulile goal guided the Brazilians to a comfortable win.

Despite the comfortable win, Sundowns could have gone behind as early as the sixth minute of the game when Brian Onyango made a hasty back pass. His header lacked power, forcing Kennedy Mweene to rush out to grab the ball. The keeper collided with TS Galaxy striker, Augustine Kwem.

Sundowns then started to grow in the game and took the lead thanks to a rocket from Khuliso Mudau. The player found himself free on the edge of the box and hit a pinpoint strike into the top corner of the net. Even the commentators described it as a postage stamp goal.

Just after the restart following the goal, things went from bad to worse for Galaxy as Mbatha was sent off for a second yellow card. The player received a first for a tackle on Shalulile and was later sent off for a terrible tackle on Domingo.

TS Galaxy never really got going in the game after that and had reason to be concerned in the 35th minute when Pogiso Sanoka took a blow to the face from a deflected shot. The player was down for a few minutes but could continue.

Sundowns went into the break with a single goal advantage but started the second half looking to double that. Domingo looked very dangerous in and outside the box as he had one shot deflected over the bar and dragged another just wide.

Not to be denied a third time, Domingo scored a brilliant long-range effort in the 63rd minute which left Galaxy keeper, Wensten van der Linde, with no chance.

Ten minutes later, Shalulile capped off the win with a smart finish from close range. The Namibian striker was found by a beautiful through ball by Divine Lunga.

Sundowns saw out the rest of the game for the win and Mudau also walked away with the man of the match award for his performance. Sundowns are now 18 points clear of Royal AM in second place and 19 points clear of Kaizer Chiefs in third.

TS Galaxy remains in the relegation zone, three points above Baroka FC.

DStv Premiership: Marumo Gallants hand Baroka FC a heavy defeat, Baroka's survival hopes severely threatened

In one of the other DStv Premiership games played today, Marumo Gallants secured a big win over Baroka FC when they beat the relegation-threatened team 3-0 in the league, Sports Brief earlier reported.

Gallants beat Baroka 3-0 thanks to two goals from Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Joseph Malongoane. Baroka came into the game on the back of a defeat to Kaizer Chiefs but knowing that a win would have taken them out of the relegation zone.

Sadly they only had themselves to blame for the loss. Both teams went into the break goalless but Baroka had picked up two yellow cards during the half. Bennet Bobete picked up a yellow in the 33rd minute while Richard Mbulu picked up a yellow just before the halftime break.
