  • Mohamed Salah is a victim of a burglary at his house in his home country of Egypt
  • The winger has a weekend to forget on the pitch after missing a penalty in Liverpool's 1-0 loss to Bournemouth
  • The Reds' next game is a crucial UEFA Champions League match against Real Madrid

Liverpool have had a grossly inconsistent season, and the past few games described their season in a short time. They lost 5-2 to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, then beat Manchester United 7-0 before losing 1-0 to AFC Bournemouth.

Earlier in the season, the Merseyside club beat the south coast club 9-0 but were toothless in the return leg as winger Mohamed Salah missed a penalty that could have made it 1-1.

In the game against United, he scored twice to become the club's all-time leading Premier League top scorer, surpassing club legend Robbie Fowler who was in attendance for the game.

Salah's week has gone from bad to worse. According to Goal, his house in Egypt has been burgled by thieves who made away with some satellite receivers.

His cousin, who passed by the house in the Fifth Settlement of Cairo, discovered something strange as the windows were opened before a quick check revealed the place had been attacked and items carted away.

It was not the first time the footballer had suffered a similar incident. In 2020, his family house was burgled, and the thief was caught two days later, as reported by Sport Bible.

The former Chelsea man stopped his family from pressing charges and instead gave some money to the thief to get his life up and also tried to help him find a job.

Rashford set up security company

Sports Brief earlier reported that Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford set up a security company to help his fellow Premier League stars tackle home burglary.

The English striker, a social activist, saw that the problem had been on the rise with stars like Kyle Walker, Raheem Sterling and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a victim of the incident in past months.

Unfortunately, this would not cover Salah's recent incident, as it happened in his home in faraway Egypt.
