Klopp Admits Salah Is Suffering From Liverpool’s Instability Due to Mane’s Departure

Liverpool had patience with Jurgen Klopp to build his team when he came to the club. He won no trophy in the first three and half years while rebuilding the squad.

He had a major breakthrough in 2019 when Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League beating fellow English club Tottenham Hotspur in the final. He won six other trophies including the Premier League, the club's first in 30 years.

One of his fearful attacking front three Sadio Mane departed for Bayern Munich last season and has left a void in the team which Klopp himself has stylishly admitted has brought instability to the team, as reported by ESPN.

Klopp admits Liverpool's instability

Football fans have been hammering on the fact that Sadio Mane was Liverpool's most important player and he would be missed after his departure. The club's performances have not been the same without him this season.

Klopp speaking ahead of the FA Cup fourth round tie against Brighton, as quoted by Mirror UK, admitted Salah's struggle in front of goal is down to the instability brought by Mane's departure and Firmino's injuries.

“Oh yeah, of course. Suffering? Of course. Our forward line was a well-drilled machine - 'the front threes' [Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino]. Everyone was clear about what we were doing. Everyone suffers [when it is not like that], that is clear,” he said.

Roberto Firmino, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and new signings Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo have all been Salah's partners since Mane's departure in a heavily rotated frontline.

Klopp aims dig at Wenger

Sports Brief earlier reported that Jurgen Klopp aimed a dig at Arsene Wenger after his 1,000th game in charge, the 0-0 draw against Chelsea at Anfield.

After the game, Klopp made a rather unwelcomed statement that he drew that game, Arsene Wenger lost his, 6-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in 2014.

Klopp's career has spanned almost 20 years and three clubs, Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.
